Our Provider

J. Mario Pauda, MD

Dr. Mario Pauda is a family physician who also specializes in obstetrics. Dr. Pauda graduated from the US Air Force Academy with a bachelor’s in physics and received his master’s in physics from the University of Texas in Austin. After he graduated Stanford School of Medicine, he completed his residency at Natividad. He then worked for Valle Verde Medical Group before opening his practice Costa Central Medical Group 17 years ago.

Dr. Pauda is a former US Air Force Physics instructor and B-52 Pilot. He is married with two children. He enjoys training for and running marathons.

Juana Veronica Aragon, FNP, RN

Veronica Aragon is a highly experienced Family Nurse Practitioner and Registered Nurse who has served the Monterey County community for over a decade. She earned her Master’s in Family Nurse Practitioner and is completing a Doctor of Nursing Practice at Frontier Nursing University (Versailles, KY) after earning a Master’s in Nursing Leadership & Management from Western Governors University (Millcreek, UT), her Bachelor of Nursing Science at California State University Monterey Bay (Marina, CA) and her Registered Nurse credential at Hartnell College (Salinas, CA). She has worked at Natividad since 2016, specializing in maternal-newborn, pediatric and NICU care. A native Zapotec from Oaxaca, Mexico, she is passionate about providing culturally competent, equitable care and is known for her leadership and active community engagement. Veronica speaks English, Spanish and Zapoteco.
