Natividad Medical Center is proud to announce the expansion of its free accredited Continuing Medical Education (CME) Program to all physicians Monterey County-Wide. “We are thrilled at Natividad to be able to offer the medical professionals of our area a diverse mix of world class speakers and presentations,” said Craig A. Walls, M.D., Ph.D., Chief Medical Officer at Natividad Medical Center (NMC). “A central part of the mission of Natividad is to educate and train the medical professionals that care for the community. Expanding continuing medical education is one of the ways we are committed to that mission.”

NMC’s CME program has been providing the Natividad medical staff with more than 60 accredited activities yearly and now Natividad is opening its doors to community physicians by offering them free CME activities, as well, ranging from current trending topics on community health to grand rounds and updates in pediatrics, OB/GYN, cardiology, and trauma.

For most accredited activities, which take place on NMC’s campus during the lunch hour, the educational format is Case Presentation with Learner Participation, Lecture with Q&A, Simulated Patient in state-of-the-art SimLab, or Live Patient, and Small Group Discussion/Roundtable.

In line with Natividad Medical Center’s mission, the CME Program is tasked to increase knowledge, competence, and performance, for the physician learners, so that they can provide the best medical care possible to the community.

NMC’s CME activities are free and open to physicians in the community and are accredited by the Institute for Medical Quality/California Medical Association (IMQ/CMA).
