Stroke Rehabilitation Program
The Sam Karas Acute Rehabilitation Center provides a comprehensive rehabilitative program to those who have had a stroke. Other common names for impairments treated in this program are cerebrovascular accident or CVA, ruptured aneurysm, cerebral hemorrhage, and cerebral infarction.
Our Stroke Rehabilitation Program shares many of the same therapies and treatments as our General Rehabilitation Program. However, it also includes specific therapies and services that are helpful to patients who have had a stroke.
This program is staffed by a highly specialized team of health care professionals under the medical direction of our team physiatrist. In addition to the physiatrist and rehabilitation nurses, the following team members are always available to participate in developing a patient’s personalized plan of care:
