Natividad Residency Program Behavioral Health Manager (Behav Hlth Svcs Mgr I) – Bilingual
Overview
Natividad is seeking to fill a permanent full time Residency Program Behavioral Health Manager position in the Family Medicine Residency Program. This incumbent reports to the Director of Family Medicine Residency and is responsible for curriculum development and evaluation and teaching Behavioral Science related skills to family practice residents at Natividad Family Medicine Residency Program.

- Methods and principles of planning, developing, implementing and coordinating specialized mental health programs

- Plan, organize and direct the work of subordinate staff
- Analyze problems, select alternatives, project consequences of proposed actions and implement recommendations in support of divisional objectives
- Understand, interpret and apply laws, rules and regulations as they relate to assigned area of responsibility
- Collect, interpret and evaluate narrative and statistical data pertaining to administrative fiscal and management matters Communicate effectively orally in order to present findings, recommendations and policies before boards, commissions and/or committees
- Communicate effectively in writing in order to prepare a variety of reports, correspondence and memoranda
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted through the course of work.
Responsible For
- Plans, directs, monitors and evaluates program elements under their direction
- Supervises the activities of assigned staff; interviews and hires staff; recommends and initiates disciplinary actions; evaluates and confers with staff on a regular basis
- Analyzes data and develops recommendations on budget, staffing and program activities of assigned areas; presents recommendations to divisional management in written and/or oral form
- Analyzes proposed and existing Federal, State and local legislation and/or regulations for their impact on program operations; develops divisional position papers; makes recommendations on and implements operational or programmatic changes
- Keeps informed on federal and state grant programs within specific areas, prepares and submits grant applications
- Participate in budget preparation and planning, monitor service productivity, monitor and evaluate contract procedure
- Participate on a regional or statewide basis regarding specific mental health issues
- Develops, monitors and delivers curricula and training to learners (residents, students, psychology interns)
- Directly supervises residents providing mental health services in primary care and hospital
Additional Requirements
- Natividad requires that all incumbents pass a pre-employment physical/medical assessment.
- Natividad will conduct a thorough background and reference check process which includes a Department of Justice fingerprint check.
- Employees who drive on County business to carry out job related duties must possess a valid CA Driver License for the class vehicle driven.
- Employees must have and show their original Social Security Card and a valid CA Driver License or CA State ID prior to the first day of work.
- Incumbents may be required to work all shifts, including weekends and holidays

Educational Requirements
Licensing requirements: Pursuant to Section 5751 of the Welfare and Institutions Code, possession of any one of the following: Licensed Clinical Social Worker: to be a graduate of an accredited graduate school of social work and be licensed as a clinical social worker in the state of California, or the ability to obtain a license prior to employment is required.
