Trauma Nurse Practitioners
A nurse practitioner (NP) is a registered nurse (RN) who has completed advanced education and training in the diagnosis and management of medical conditions. The Trauma NP collaborates with the entire trauma team and assists in communication with consultants, patients and families. The Trauma NP assists with coordination of discharge planning and will provide education to patients and families throughout the hospitalization phase.
